I had a largely enjoyable stay at Mercure Leeds Centre Hotel. The location is fantastic, only a short walk from the city center, allowing for easy access to shops and restaurants. I loved the quirky decor and found the atmosphere quite charming. However, the dining experience was a bit underwhelming, especially the restaurant food, which could use some improvements.

While breakfast had a good variety, the dinner options were a bit disappointing. My chicken caesar salad was dry and bland, which detracted from my overall experience.

I had a fantastic one-night stay at Mercure Leeds Centre Hotel while attending a work Christmas party. The hotel’s unique decor, rooted in its history as a former cloth mill, added a charming touch to my visit. However, I did find the lack of on-site parking to be a bit inconvenient. Overall, it was a gem of a hotel with excellent service and a good breakfast.

I had a mixed experience during my stay at Mercure Leeds Centre Hotel. The rooms were clean and well decorated, though I encountered some issues with my room being double booked and a lack of communication about the details during check-in. The staff were friendly and apologetic, especially after I raised my concerns, which was a highlight of my visit. Still, I was disappointed with the dining options and the specific room conditions, such as being given a basement room without natural light.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was clean and modern, but being in the basement made it feel claustrophobic with no window. The bed was comfortable, but the small size was unexpected.
Service

The staff were warm and friendly, although my check-in experience was frustrating due to the double booking. However, they were apologetic and did their best to resolve the situation.

I had a mixed experience at the Mercure Leeds Centre Hotel during my recent stay. While the location is excellent, being within walking distance of the city center, my check-in experience was a bit frustrating. The room was spacious but had some quirks with the heating and lighting that affected my comfort. Overall, it was an average stay with notable strengths and weaknesses.

Rooms
6.0
My first room was good, spacious with a comfortable bed, but the shower setup was confusing with multiple dials and heads. The second room was an upgrade but was too large for effective heating, making it quite cold. Also, the bed was two singles pushed together, which was uncomfortable due to the ridge in the middle.
Service
6.0
The check-in process was slow, and when my key card didn't work, the receptionist was unhelpful and lacked courtesy. On the other hand, some staff were friendly and accommodating, which helped make the stay more pleasant despite some issues.
Location
8.0
I loved the hotel's location; it's in a quiet area but just a short walk from the central bars, shops, and restaurants, which is perfect for exploring Leeds. However, it was slightly difficult to find at first.
Dining
6.0
The breakfast options were a mixed bag. While the selection was decent, with cold meats and pastries, the cooked breakfast could have been improved in quality. Overall, it was average, but I appreciated having options.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel boasts quirky decor and offers good amenities like air conditioning, which was a welcome feature. However, issues like confusing shower controls detracted from the overall experience.
